Nancy Oberst's mission is to help education leaders shift their approach to a strengths-based focus that emotionally engages students, faculty and staff. She helps education leaders integrate selection, development and engagement models that produce positive outcomes in K-12 schools and school districts.
Oberst's primary focus is teacher and principal development and effectiveness. She has coached more than a thousand principals and other school leaders on strengths, engagement and leadership. She began her education career as a special education teacher for Omaha Public Schools (OPS), and then served the district as a principal for several elementary schools. She opened a start-up school in downtown Omaha that served a diverse population, including immigrant families who lacked services and required assistance in navigating support systems.
Oberst received her bachelor's degrees in elementary education and special education and her master's degree in educational administration and supervision from the University of Nebraska at Omaha.
