This report is the fifth in an annual series and includes U.S. leadership approval data from 130 countries and areas that Gallup surveyed during the first year of President Barack Obama's second term in 2013.
Through the U.S.-Global Leadership Track global public opinion study, Gallup has asked residents worldwide to rate the leadership of the U.S. since 2005. This research provides a comparison of how perceptions of U.S. leadership change over time and from administration to administration.
