Gallup's Migration Research Center
Measuring our world in motion
How many people want to leave their country? Where do they want to go? How do people feel about migrants living in their communities? How do migrants feel about their own lives?
With the number of migrants expected to top 400 million over the next few decades, these questions need answers. That's why Gallup has been asking them.
Gallup's Migration Research Center houses the latest and best discoveries on migration, based on more than a decade of Gallup research and millions of interviews in more than 140 countries.
Discover how much the population of your country would change if everyone who wanted to move to another country actually did.

The World Happiness Report is a landmark survey of the state of global happiness. The World Happiness Report 2018 ranks 156 countries by their happiness levels and 117 countries by the happiness of their immigrants. The immigrant happiness rankings are based on the full span of Gallup data from 2005 to 2017, sufficient to have 117 countries with more than 100 immigrant respondents.
Measuring global migration potential
This data briefing from the International Organization for Migration's Global Migration Data Analysis Centre analyzes people's migration intentions globally for the period of 2010-2015. The briefing also explores to what degree data on migration potential can be a useful predictor of actual migration by comparing results from Gallup surveys with data on officially recorded migrant in- and outflows.
