PRINCETON, NJ -- An e-mail virus described as a "self-propagating computer worm" has infected computers worldwide. The virus, which comes in the form of a message disguised as a love letter, operates on principles similar to that of the highly publicized Melissa virus that swept the country in 1999.
Gallup polls conducted earlier this year suggest that over half of the country has access to the Internet at home, work, or school. Of those with Internet access, almost 90% claim to use it to send and receive e-mail messages.
