New Gallup-Pivotal research finds more women hear about menopause from family and friends than from doctors, and one in four seeking treatment have to push to be taken seriously.
One in four employees stay in jobs they want to leave to keep their health insurance, with women and those with chronic conditions most affected.
Fewer than half (49%) of Americans can afford needed care and medications, a five-year low. Younger, older and adults with chronic conditions are hit hardest.
Nurses still rank highest for ethics, yet Americans' ratings of most professions remain historically weak and declining.
