There are 7 billion people in the world. Imagine if all 7 billion received coaching to maximize their potential this week. It would change how humans develop. Even being coached just once per year to develop strengths can dramatically change one's life journey and improve the odds for an extraordinary life.
It would take just 50 million strengths coaches worldwide to do this.
Don Clifton (1924-2003), the father of strengths psychology and inventor of CliftonStrengths, discovered that while people's weaknesses rarely develop, their strengths develop infinitely.
A systematic global coaching movement that reaches the world's 7 billion citizens will change the world far more than politics, foreign policy, fiscal or monetary tools, trade deals or war. Because what the global economy needs is a surge in economic development that lies only within surges of human development.
When 7 billion people are developing their God-given strengths, then economic development, good jobs, a strong global middle class and thriving societies will follow.
We need to boom the global economy like never before -- and we need to do it now.
Gallup is hosting a gathering, the CliftonStrengths Summit, at our Omaha, Nebraska, Riverfront Campus on the Missouri River, July 18-20. The sole purpose of the summit is to put humankind back on track through more intentional and systematic development of human potential -- through strengths coaching.
The summit will connect our Gallup-Certified Strengths Coaches with people who want to become strengths coaches. There will be more than 40 speakers and 50 breakout sessions on topics like how to start and grow a coaching business to how to deploy strengths within any organization.
In attendance will be 1,000 experienced, inspired and already successful coaches. They'll be sharing their successes on how to build a movement that simply saves the world.
We will introduce new technology, the first-ever online coaching marketplace, developed by one of America's foremost inventors and his team. This tool will "Uber-ize" global strengths coaching.
This summit is for people who want to join the strengths movement and become world-class strengths coaches.
Our founder, George Gallup (1901-1984), had a great line: "There are 5 billion ways to lead a life, and we should study them all." I would add to that, "Today, there are 7 billion ways to lead a life -- and we should coach them all."
See you at the Riverfront.
